Quite a few techniques have been developed to help the dreaming individual control their dreams. However, researchers suggest that it is not a good idea to induce lucid dreaming to improve mental health issues. They discovered that inducing lucid dreams might cause more harm than good to the individual. Furthermore, inducing lucid dreams is known to cause various sleep disturbances along with schizophrenic episodes.
